The Leeds Goth QR Code Challenge

The Leeds Goth QR Code Challenge was a scavenger hunt across Leeds City Centre telling the story of the birth of Goth culture in Leeds.

It ran from 6 – 15 September 2024 as part of that year’s Heritage Open Days festival.

By visiting each location on the paper map available in various locations and using the associated clue, a QR could could be found nearby, which, when scanned, unlocked a short film about the location and how it fit into the story of Goth culture in Leeds.

All films can now be accessed below.

PLEASE NOTE: the films were made specifically for Heritage Open Days 2024 and, as such, contain dated references, including information about a prize draw run during the festival. The prize draw is now closed.
